Celata Tech has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the GeoBizz Product (GBP) Team. GBP enables Location Based Intelligence to support a diverse set of missions within highly regulated industries. We are looking for engineers to join a fast-paced team and solve complex problems in the domain of location based intelligence. In this role, you will have the opportunity to test software that allows customers in highly secured and regulated industries to consume a wide range of services. The systems and software you test must meet the security policy and assurance requirements of both public and private sector customers.

Day to day

Responsibilities

  • Test functionality and review visual elements of small- and large-scale interactive deliverables.
  • Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, and changes.
  • Validate and close out all issues prior to client delivery.
  • Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on time with a high level of quality.
  • Develop a process to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible.
  • Investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep our processes up to date.
  • Conduct daily touch-base meetings with QA.
  • Work closely with partners and producers on company process.
  • Maintain open communication with internal teams.
  • Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering.
  • Plan and document the testing effort via test plans and test cases for larger-scale projects.
What you'll bring

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • 2+ years of QA experience with good skills in Functional, UI, Web Service, Mobile and Performance testing.
  • A solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance and Software Engineering concepts.
  • An ability to draft, execute, report, and maintain functional test cases for Web/Mobile applications.
  • Experience working with automation frameworks and automating functional test cases using Selenium WebDriver (Java) and REST Assured.
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts and programming languages such as Python and PHP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on the application and its environment.
  • Experience with performance testing using JMeter would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in security testing and security testing tools will be a benefit.
  • Experience using JIRA, Scrum process, and test management tools would be advantageous.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Mobile testing experience is a plus.
  • Automation testing experience is a plus.
